Why I’m Endorsing Liz Berry

Today, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m endorsing Liz Berry for the State House of Representatives! I’ve known and worked with Liz for a decade. And I know her to be a passionate advocate for our progressive priorities: economic justice, environmental protection, and gun safety.
As the executive director of the Washington State Association for Justice, Liz has stood up for the people who wouldn’t otherwise have a voice in our system.
As the president of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Washington, she was a champion for creating new political pathways for women by recruiting, training, and electing more women to public office.
As the former legislative director to Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Liz has demonstrated that she is not afraid to take on the powerful gun lobby to save lives in our community.
I’ve known Liz for years, and she is the real deal. Liz is a proven progressive leader that knows how to get things done. When she sets her mind to something, nothing can stop her! That’s the kind of representation we need in Olympia.
I don’t often endorse in legislative races, but this is a special case. The people of the 36th District are fortunate to have this opportunity to elect Liz Berry to the House of Representatives. I’m proud to endorse her, and I hope you’ll do so as well.
